The Health Centre is located in the tunnel heading toward the Grades 1 & 2 Quad. Operating hours are

8 :00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily during the school year while students are on campus.

The mission of the Health Centre at Queen’s College is to ensure the health and well-being of all students, faculty and all members of staff. Optimal health serves as an important factor in academic success.

The Health Centre is staffed by a full-time Registered Nurse and is equipped with general over-the-counter medications, medical screening equipment, wound dressing supplies, urgent care equipment and an Isolation Room with a separate entrance and ventilation system. Basic screenings, including temperature, height, weight, blood pressure and glucose testing, are also available to students and staff. At any time during the day, students and staff who are feeling unwell may visit The Health Centre.

Completed School Medical Forms are required for all new students and for students transitioning in to Grades 1, 7 and 10. To access the School Medical Form, please click here. The form consists of two (2) sections. Section A is to be completed by the parent/guardian and Section B is to be completed by the student’s Primary Care Physician. Medical information is kept electronically and is confidential.

All prescription medications for students are kept and monitored in the Health Centre. Parents of students with co-existing conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, severe food/insect allergies, diabetes, and anemia are strongly encouraged to have a conference with the Nurse, to establish a desired plan of care.

Throughout the school year, students, staff and families will be encouraged to participate in health-driven activities to improve physical and mental well-being.

Nurse Munroe can be reached via email, healthcentre@qchenceforth.com or telephone (242) 677-7622.
