Being affiliated with the Bahamas Conference of
the Methodist Church, Queen's College combines the tradition
of a Methodist education with a sense of community, to enable
children to develop self-esteem, learn to set goals, and
cultivate the talents necessary for the 21st century.
Moral and spiritual dimensions are
integrated throughout all aspects of the curriculum allowing
each child to flourish in an atmosphere of encouragement,
providing opportunities for academic, spiritual, and emotional
growth. Queen's College is a community where the individual
child develops to his or her fullest potential as a result of
the cohesive efforts of the parent, the teacher, and the
School.
Working together in a cooperative effort
creates an environment that stimulates a child's natural
curiosity and produces an atmosphere where children feel
loved, are respected, develop a sense of self-worth, and enjoy
learning.
Faculty and students participate in
spiritual devotions and assemblies in their Form rooms, as a
school section, and as combined school frequently. Students
are encouraged to participate in clubs and extra-curricular
activities and must complete mandatory community service hours
each year.
