The Information and Computer Technology
Department plays a pivotal role in the life of every Queen’s
College student and staff. It is the epicenter
of technology where students and staff members alike can have
access to information on the Internet and other application
software.
This department seeks to empower every Queen’s College student
to the advanced
level in the popular Microsoft Office Suite
applications
including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-PowerPoint,
MS-FrontPage plus providing them with a robust foundation in
current and historic concepts in Information Technology. In
the near future Queen’s College will be the first school to
prepare students for yet another International
Certification such as MOUS (Microsoft Office
User Specialist) Certification and A+ Comptia Hardware.
Credits from MOS Certification are accepted at selected
universities and colleges in North America, and also make the
students immediately marketable in the Computing Industry on
leaving high school. This is offered no where else in the
Bahamas.
All grade levels have 2 periods of Computers each week.
Grade 7-
Introduction to Computers and Information Technology Concepts
