In a rapidly changing society, the ELC focuses upon the total development of the child/student in order to compete with and surpass other educational institutions. The ELC is a "Premier Institution', a choice for balanced and quality education.  Equipped with a variety of quality educational resources and materials, the Early Learning Centre's current curricula are research driven, serving as a medium for effective delivery of instruction and good teaching practices.  The teachers at the ELC keep abreast with current trends in education.  They are qualified professionals and the quality of teaching ensures students' success.  Being aware of the ways in which students learn, through play, inquiry, experiment and exploration, we deliver a range of methods that constitute quality teaching. Repertoires of appropriate experiences and teaching strategies are introduced, to actively engage students in a variety of meaningful learning experiences such as multiple intelligences, individual differences, topic and thematic approaches, learning and interest centres, integrative learning, and literacy and language learning.

The school offers a well-rounded, early childhood education for very young learners in all areas of development, but especially in the areas of cognition, language and literacy development.  Students build early reading and writing skills in areas such as oral language comprehension, phonological awareness, etc., so as to remedy or prevent problems at an early stage, rather than later on in their development. The class sizes are small; 16 students to each of 3 classes in Phase 1 and 20 students to each of 4 classes in Phase 2.  Additionally, there are five teacher's aides. Each aide assists one  teacher/class, enhancing the quality of education and helping to ensure that students' needs are met, in and out of the classroom.

Facilities at the Early Learning Centre include individual classrooms with computer and multimedia equipment, a large enclosed shallow-water swimming pool, a sports field, secure play areas, and a large outdoor patio used for assemblies and ELC performances.
