Queen’s College
has always been a school that believes in catering to a wide
cross-section of young people throughout the community. As a
fully comprehensive school, operating under the auspices of
the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church, our
interests lie not only in academic excellence but also in
raising well-rounded, courteous, spiritually grounded global citizens.
The Administration and teachers of Queen’s College are
committed to bringing out the best in every one of our
students and we are confident that our school will continue
to add to the large number of outstanding Bahamian citizens,
from all walks of life, who have passed through our doors.
For the next few years we have adopted the motto “Teamwork
Towards Excellence.” We pledge to combine our efforts with
those of our students and parents to produce the brightest
Bahamian ‘stars’.
Queen’s
College perceives character as the personal commitment to all
that is good. In all aspects of life at Queen’s College
we attempt to nurture and promote the development of sound
character. The elements of sound character that the
school has identified as central to a person’s life and our
life as a school and country are: Christianity, Commitment,
Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Integrity, Compassion,
Generosity, Fairness, Loyalty and Good Manners.
Our purpose, as an educational community, is
expressed through our mission statement:
"Our mission, as a premier educational
institution, is to work collaboratively with parents,
families, the Church and Government to inculcate in our
students enduring moral and ethical values, spiritual
discipline grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ and sense
of personal social responsibility."
